I Love My India
The National Flag is a symbol of the Nation's respect and pride.
The Indian government has prohibited making or selling of plastic flags and warned that if anybody violates these rules, it is punishable under the provisions of law.
It is common to see the flags strewn on the streets after the celebrations are over, both on Republic Day and Independence Day every year.
The central government has issued a warning that National Flags made of paper only must be used. The government warned against using plastic flags.
Plastic items do not decompose easily. This leads to severe environmental pollution.
National Dignity Offence Act 1971 will be invoked for taking legal action on those who sell/buy plastic flags.Based on this, the persons who use plastic national flags may be imprisoned up to 3 years.
Jai Hind . Jai Hind. Jai Hind.
