It's Horrible. Can we stop all this by rigorous punishment ???????????????????????
Girl raped as ‘punishment’ for brother’s sex assault bid
Divy Khare,TNN | Jul 10, 2014, 12.26 AM IST
BOKARO: A 13-year-old girl in Bokaro was raped on the orders of a local community head as a punishment for her brother's alleged attempt to outrage the modesty of a woman. Ghosal Pasi, head of Pasi community in Gomia block of the district, ordered one Nakabandi Pasi to rape the minor after he was told that her brother had molested Nakabandi's wife.
Following the diktat, Nakabandi dragged the girl out of her home and allegedly raped her. When no one in the neighbourhood objected to the vicious decree, the girl's parents approached the Gomia police station for help, officer in charge Virendera Kumar Ram said. The officers at the police station rushed the bleeding girl to a government hospital before swinging into action. All three, including Nakabandi, Ghosal and the girl's brother — Harendra — were arrested.
Ram said Harendra barged into Nakabandi's house on Monday night and attempted to rape his wife while she was sleeping. On Tuesday, Nakabandi and his wife brought the matter to Ghosal's notice. The community head found Harendra guilty and ordered Nakabandi to rape his sister to teach him lesson. Nakebandi executed the order as no one dared to help her because of Ghosal's clout.
Ram said the girl was presented before the magistrate in Tenught Court on Wednesday, where her statement was recorded under section 164 of CR.P.C. "The accused have been sent to judicial custody. Police is investigating the case to confirm whether there are other persons involved in the incident. We have seized the victim's clothes," said Ram. Bokaro SP Jitender Singh said police have lodged two FIR's in this connection, one on the statement of the victim and other on the statement from Nakabandi's wife.
